Oct 15, 2007: Rosetta Stone
ARLINGTON, VA. (Oct. 15, 2007) ─ Success with love, work and family often depends on people, literally, speaking the same language. Now, to help people expand their world, Rosetta Stone Inc. kicks off a national “Rosetta Stories” contest to find the most compelling real-life tales about how learning a new language has made a difference in people’s lives. The grand prize winner will receive a free trip for two with a retail prize value of $5,000.
“As the creator of the world’s leading language-learning software program, we love to hear stories about how learning a language changes people’s lives, whether it’s falling in love with someone from a foreign country, finding the perfect job abroad, or making a new friend who speaks another language,” says Pamela Mulder, vice president, brand marketing. “The ‘Rosetta Stories’ contest will help bring more of these inspiring stories to light.”
Entrants are invited to submit a 300 word original essay describing the positive impact that learning another language had on their life. There are three categories: love, work and family. One grand prize will be selected by a team of judges. The winner will receive a free trip for two to a destination of choice where one of the Version 3 languages is spoken. Five additional winners will receive a three level CD-ROM set of Rosetta Stone Version 3 Personal Edition software in the language of their choice: French, German, Italian, Russian, Portuguese (Brazil), Arabic, Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Spain), English (American) and English (British).
To enter, visit RosettaStoriesContest and follow the instructions to submit an essay. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. CST on Nov. 30, 2007.
